Chairman’s Message.

As I have recently been elected as Chairman, I would like to begin by saying it is an honor and privilege to hold this position within the Centre.

I am looking forward to the year ahead and all the Dinner Dances and events that are planned. We hope to attend as many as work commitments allow.

Very soon we will have the 2012 Scottish Caravan Club Handbook. All the members will soon be able to look through their new Handbook and plan which events they would like to attend over the next year.

East Centre have planned three holiday breaks this coming year and an event near Balerno to coincide with the Edinburgh Festival and Military Tattoo.

East Centre Dinner Dance is being held on Saturday 28th January at 2012 at Holiday Inn, Edinburgh City West. Tickets are available from the Vice Chairman, Treasurer or myself. The Holiday Inn is a new venue for our Centre and for the first time the music will be provided by Nu Era.

At our AGM the Members did not want our Dinner Dance to be stopped, so please make it a good night and show your support for our Centre. In conjunction with the Dinner Dance, a Rally is being held at Edinburgh Caravan Club Site. Transport will be available at a small additional cost.

The New Year Rally at Peebles will bridge 2011 and 2012. Let’s hope that the weather will be kind to us and we can all get on site and enjoy the festivities.

Louise, Emily and I, will be enjoying a traditional family Christmas this year.

We would like to wish all members a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

A full and varied 2012 Rally Programme lies ahead of us. Louise and I look forward to meeting you all on the field over the next year.
